History comes to life near Wichita Falls homes. Come visit the Museum of North Texas History, located at 720 Indiana Avenue in downtown Wichita Falls real estate. The museum opened in 2001 and has been educating area residents on their fascinating history ever since. Start our tour by learning about the Native American tribes who first lived in the area. Wichita Falls takes its name from a Choctaw word. The museum has a diverse collection of pottery, arrowheads, and other tools. There is also a scale replica of a teepee. See historically-accurate reproductions of clothing and weapons, too.
