For more than 40 years, one Denton property has been the place to go for amazing local theatre productions. Denton Community Theatre was established in 1969, and it has been a huge force in the community for the arts. There are so many ways to get involved in theatre at this Denton real estate location. The Method & Madness Festival is a competition for new playwrights to submit their work. The winning plays are performed at the group’s Black Box Theater.

Denton Real Estate Volunteers Make Productions Possible

Actors and actresses from Denton are welcome to audition for DCT’s productions. Each February, directors may apply for one of the six plays of the season. Kids can get involved in local theatre, too. During the school year, DCT operates a theatre school for kids ages four through 18. When school’s out, there are summer camps for budding actors. Even if you don’t want to get up on stage, there are plenty of ways to be involved. Volunteer to be on a stage crew or to work at the front of the house, collecting tickets and other tasks.

Visit Denton Community Theatre to see the latest production schedule. The company presents a great mix of classic favorites and new work, for a total of six shows per season.
